Emanuel & Daniela Steiner awarded Entrepreneur of the Year
EMANUEL AND DANIELA STEINER AWARDED ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
Another entrepreneurial award for the family business FELFEL, which was only launched in 2014. Yesterday evening, the two company founders Emanuel and Daniela Steiner were awarded the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™.
AND THE WINNER IS... FELFEL!
Fifty companies were up nominated. In a first selection, an independent jury chose three companies per category, i.e. twelve finalists. FELFEL won the prestigious award last night. The young company promises to make CEO's and employees happy with the best local chefs in Switzerland. An intelligent fridge makes it possible for any company with 50 or more people to be catered for in a healthy, inexpensive and uncomplicated way.
For us, 'entrepreneurship' means improving the status quo. In our own team, we focus a lot on how we can reduce mediocrity. We help CEO's and employees with the FELFEL fridge to make their workplace culture happier, more social and more fun: our 10 partner chefs from all over Switzerland and the FELFEL team go the 'extra-mile' every day to achieve this.
Incidentally, the coveted EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award is not the first prize to be awarded to the rapidly growing start-up company (which itself now employs over 50 people on a day-to-day basis and is currently creating and advertising 22 additional positions). In 2017, the company had already won the prestigious "Swiss Economic Forum Awardaward".
WHAT IS FELFEL?
First, a credo of four words: "Good Food At Work", good food at work. FELFEL is a kind of canteen for companies of 50 people or more, an intelligent refrigerator clad in wood. The cheapest way to offer great food as a company: 10 Swiss chefs are on duty.
The FELFEL fridge has it all - in several respects. First, delicious, good and healthy food and drinks with a weekly changing offer.
And the appliance is also hiding a large and sophisticated infrastructure: a delivery and refill service - a technology-controlled fleet of elves, so to speak, who are quietly and discreetly working their magic. At FELFEL's headquarters in Zurich's Binz district, they make sure that the supplies are right and always fresh on the day. This is also where a team of Food Scouts is constantly developing new dishes, inspired by their culinary travels around the world.
The FELFEL fridge is now in use at over 300 companies in Switzerland, making employees and CEOs happy. It knows the individual food preferences of the respective teams and will surprise the daily routine every so often. FELFEL already serves more than 30,000 employees in German and French-speaking Switzerland every day.
