NEW: CAISU TEA BY FELFEL

Just in time for the warmer temperatures, our brand new CAISU teas are finally coming to your office. Uhm, tea going into summer? Admittedly, tea probably reminds most of you of cosy, cooler months, but our CAISU teas will see you through your workday, whatever the season. And although it's hard for some, it's no secret that even in hot temperatures, a warm drink is good for you. Besides, this spring hasn't brought us much sun yet.

Food Scout Johanna with her favourite tea: "I am fascinated by our green tea producers’, the Zhu family and Fu An Organic Tea Garden, story. I love any kind of green tea, but this one is very special to me as it is enhanced with a light touch of sage."

FARM TO OFFICE

It was clear to us that we needed a tea to go with our high-quality Gavetti office coffee. A tea that we could be proud of and stand behind. Together with tea experts, our Food Scouts worked hard in the last months to find the best tea farmers. Important factors in the search were: certified organic cultivation, fair wages for the farmers and that the local production creates added value in their environment.

Once the farms were found, it was time for a tasting - tea time in the FELFEL office! Countless samples were tasted, and tea blends fine-tuned until the perfect combination was found. The result is a series of non-traditional teas in which each variety has been refined with an unconventional note: The black tea is rounded off with cocoa nibs, the green tea is refined with sage and the fruit tea is given a slight sweetness with papaya, liquorice and beetroot.

HOW CAISU ACCOMPANIES YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY AT WORK

BLACK TEA - ENERGY

Are you also not a morning person and reach for a Gavetti coffee as soon as you arrive at work? How about starting your day with black tea instead of coffee for once? Accompanied by a light hint of cocoa, guarana and maté this tea gives you an energetic start to the day. The tea leaves are organically grown and hand-picked at an altitude of over 2200 m in Rwanda - the land of a thousand hills. Thanks to the perfect environmental conditions and many years of expertise, the sustainable tea company Rutsiro Tea Estates produces one of the best tea qualities in the world here.

FRUIT TEA - FLOW

This fruit tea with hibiscus accompanies you throughout your morning. Its light sweetness gets you in the mood for lunch. The hibiscus flowers in this fruity tea blend are grown by female farmers in their fields around the village of Dedougou, in Burkina Faso. The women support each other by exchanging know-how and infrastructure as well marketing their products together.

HERBAL TEA - DIGEST

We all know that feeling of wanting something sweet after lunch or feeling very full. This herbal tea blend with Moroccan mint is the perfect way to round off your lunch experience by making that digestive slump disappear. The Nana mint that makes up this herbal tea comes from an organic farm in Loudaya, near the Moroccan city of Marrakech. The farm specialises in growing native Moroccan plants such as fresh mint and verbena and does not use any chemicals.

GINGER TEA - IMMUNITY

This tea is the right companion at any time of the day or year: tangy notes of lemon spicy ginger offer you comfort on cold days and refreshment on warm days. The ginger is sustainably grown by small-scale producers from Nigeria. The roots are harvested from November to February and then washed and dried on site.

GREEN TEA - FOCUS

You know what it's like to be tired in the afternoon after lunch. Instead of napping on your desk, we recommend our green tea. Refined with blackberry leaves and sage, it provides freshness, clarity and focus. The Chunmee green tea comes from the Fu An Organic Tea Garden in eastern China, which is owned by the Zhu family. The profits from tea production not only enable them to earn a living, but also to create jobs in the local area and to realise social projects such as the construction of a kindergarten.

ROOIBOS TEA - RELAX

Finally, it's the end of the day! Or not quite yet? This gentle rooibos tea allows you to slowly wind down at the end of the day. With a light vanilla note, it brings peace and relaxation so that you can go home stress-free. The first rooibos plants and their almost miraculous health properties were discovered in the Wupperthal region of South Africa more than 200 years ago. The fair and sustainable rooibos production in the Rooibos 1830 Cooperative, provides a livelihood and social security for hundreds of people in this remote region.

PS: Like the name FELFEL, which translates as pepper, the name CAISU also comes from Persian. Caj means tea and Sur Passion - CAISU! So, now you are a real CAISU expert – cheers to that (with a cup of tea of course). We hope you enjoy exploring the varieties and that CAISU will help you to master your everyday office life.
